Molybdenum Sheets and Plates
Product Description
99.95% pure molybdenum sheets with sandblasted surfaces, thickness is from 0.005 inches to 0.150 classified as molybdenum refractory sheet. It is used for fabrication of sintering boats, high temperature furnace heating elements and heat shields. Molybdenum plates, thickness is from 0.187 inches to 3 inches classified as molybdenum refractory plate. It is widely used in the construction of furnace tooling and parts and as a feed stock for the fabrication of parts for the electronics and semiconductor industries.
Characteristics and features
1. High melting point (2610℃), high strength
2. High level of thermal conductivity
3. A low coefficient of thermal expansion
4. Good resistance to oxidation at high temperatures
5. Corrosive resistant to glass and other metals
Application
Molybdenum has a unique property of which it's melting point can reach 2610℃, it is widely applied in high temperature vacuum furnace melting environment such as sapphire growing furnace, quartz glass melting furnace, and rare earth melting furnace.
